NewJeans' member Hyein recently shared nostalgic memories from her pre-debut days and her journey so far. On January 16, she appeared as a guest on the channel 'Dazed Korea' and discussed her experiences.

Hyein began by recalling her time as a trainee, mentioning, "I joined the trainee group the latest. One of the most impactful memories I have is when I first saw the older members. They looked beautiful, angelic, and were all kind and pure." She added, "The process of all of us coming together, living together, practicing, and preparing towards a common goal was meaningful."

Her second keyword was 'summer,' where she shared, "We debuted on July 22. At that time, we all gathered at our dorm and watched the 'Attention' music video together. Even back then, I felt that this time was precious."

The third keyword was 'winter.' Hyein recalled, "When I think of winter, the first thing that comes to mind is 'Ditto.' It was winter, but it felt really warm. It was our second comeback, and the music video had so many stories in it. 'Ban Hee Soo' appeared in the video, and the fans, known as 'Bunnies,' were featured in our first comeback music video. The whole process felt meaningful because we were preparing alongside our fans."

Her next keyword was 'people,' where Hyein reflected, "Looking back, I've realized how many wonderful and good adults I’ve had around me. I’ve felt this especially recently." She continued, "The relationship with Bunnies feels really special. I want to meet them often and talk to them more, but there are reasons we can't do that. Despite that, they continue to support us, and I find it so amazing."

Meanwhile, NewJeans is currently in a dispute with their agency, ADOR, over their exclusive contract. NewJeans claims the contract has been terminated, while ADOR has filed a lawsuit in the Seoul Central District Court to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract.
