On January 16, singer Lee Hyori appeared on MBC FM4U’s "Perfect Day with Lee Sangsoon" and shared insights into her life as a housewife.
During the broadcast, Lee Hyori expressed her excitement, saying, "I usually just listen at home, so I’m so happy to be able to participate. I listen at home every day because it’s nice to check on what my husband is up to. I listen with a prayerful heart to make sure he’s not saying anything strange."
When Lee Sangsoon asked about any changes in her life, Lee Hyori responded, "Lee Sangsoon himself is always calm, so there haven’t been many changes. But that’s what makes him so lovable. There hasn’t been a big change as a DJ either, but I think listeners will like his consistent, natural self. If he becomes too used to things, the fresh and pure feeling will disappear, so I think it’s good just as it is. I believe a little mistake here and there makes something perfect."
Lee Hyori went on to talk about her newfound cooking routine, saying, "It’s been about two months since Lee Sangsoon started as a DJ, and it’s been two months since I started cooking for him. My cooking skills have improved. I truly admire all the housewives in Korea. Choosing the menu is so difficult. As someone cooking, I always want to make something different. I went to Noryangjin Fish Market and bought 40 blueback herrings. I ended up buying 160 over three trips to dry and grill them, and he said he thought I was going to find eggs in my mouth!"
She also added, "Through cooking, I’ve realized that I have big hands." Lee Sangsoon responded with, "She’s fast and makes a lot of side dishes. I’m fine with just one or two simple dishes."
To which Lee Hyori humorously replied, "I try to make one more side dish, but he reacts like this. I realized that housewives aren’t physically tired, but emotionally lonely."
