On January 15, Kim posted a video where she introduced the items she had bought, including a trip to a lifestyle brand store in Hannam-dong. She initially referred to her purchases as impulse buys but quickly rephrased her comment, saying, "It doesn't feel right to call them impulse purchases," adding that she wanted to show respect for the items.
Kim, who shared that she had been feeling drained due to her children's vacation, explained that she bought these items as a "self-gift" for the difficult times during the break.
She elaborated on her purchases, saying, "A bowl that gives off a vacation vibe," "A cup that reminds me of my grandmother’s house," and "A plate I bought because the circular plate at home was making me feel guilty." One of her main items was a mug from a French brand, priced at 312,000 KRW (around 240 USD) on the official Korean website.
Kim described the mug as "vintage" and expressed her intention to use it for a lifetime, saying, "I’ll use it every day as if it’s a part of me." However, she also admitted, "I feel like I only bought small, simple things. If I had bought something bigger, it would have felt like a more satisfying purchase." She further explained that this led to her buying two plates as well, each priced around 300,000–400,000 KRW (approximately 230–300 USD).
Kim’s reflection on her purchases showed a mix of satisfaction with her chosen items, but also a sense of longing for a more substantial shopping experience.
