The high-level explicit scenes in the TVN and Tving drama "Wongyeong" have become a subject of controversy. There were allegations that these scenes were aired using CGI (Computer Graphics) and a body double without the consent of the actors involved. However, Studio Dragon, the production company, clarified that there had been agreements with the actors.

A representative from Studio Dragon explained to Sports Chosun on January 16, "From the start, we made it clear that the Tving version would be rated 'Adults Only,' and the casting process reflected this. It was also disclosed that explicit scenes would be included. The level of nudity was discussed individually with each actor according to the characteristics of their character and the scenes, and the production team coordinated with the actors and their agencies at each stage of production." This explanation contradicts claims from the actors' agencies that the explicit scenes were used without proper consent, instead claiming they were created with mutual agreements.

The drama "Wongyeong" has gained attention for its bold explicit scenes involving lead actors Cha Ju-young and Lee I-dam in episodes 1 and 2. While these scenes were removed in the TVN broadcast to meet a 15+ rating, the Tving version, aimed at a 19+ audience, included the explicit content.

Following the airing, some viewers questioned whether these scenes were truly necessary, arguing that the show could have been understood without them. Reports suggest that the actors filmed the scenes fully clothed, and later a body double was used to shoot the nudity, which was then inserted using CGI. The actors' agencies reportedly requested the scenes be edited, but the production team declined.

Director Kim Sang-ho, who helmed "Wongyeong", explained on January 16 to Hangyeong.com that "The script did not specify explicit scenes. The decision to film the nudity was not for artistic intent but was based on the channel's requirements." This statement clarifies that it was Tving's request for a 19+ rating, not the director’s creative choice. Tving has stated that they are "still reviewing" the situation but has not yet provided a clear response.
