BTS's hit song "Dynamite" has reached 2 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the first K-pop group to achieve this milestone on the world's largest music streaming platform, announced Big Hit Music on the 14th.
"Dynamite" is the first song by a K-pop group to reach 2 billion streams on Spotify. Earlier, BTS member Jungkook made history as the first K-pop solo artist to reach 2 billion streams with his song "Seven" last year.
"Dynamite," a lively disco-pop track, features an infectious rhythm and energetic, dynamic performances.
With this song, BTS became the first K-pop group to top the Billboard Hot 100, the U.S. mainstream singles chart, and was nominated for a Grammy Award.
"Dynamite" also became the first song by a Korean artist to reach number one on Spotify's "Daily Top Song Global" chart and set a record for the most streams on its release day. It was also the first K-pop song to achieve 1 billion streams on Spotify.
The song's music video surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube last year, becoming the first BTS video to reach this milestone.
